Changers are quilted pads designed to help you with your
baby's diaper changes. Knowing that this job may be even more
difficult away from home, I worked with our daughter to determine
the best size and thickness. The need to keep your baby happy
during changing time is the reason for the book and toy that are
included with each Changer.
The top is cotton or polyester fabric that is backed with batting
and then machine quilted in an all over grid pattern called crosshatching.
The inner layer is made of either canvas or flannelbacked vinyl
to help keep things dry. The backing is soft flannel. Each changer
may be special ordered by color, pattern, or theme. A small
loop of bias binding has been added to the top of the Changer
so that a small toy and a Chunky Book (a tiny board book, usually
about baby animals) can be hooked to it with a plastic ring. There
are also two ties of bias tape that hold the Changer in a rolled
up position. They are available in two sizes.
